Intel

Aging population is growing rapidly in China. Age-friendly cities are being designed throughout China, packaging a variety of age-friendly services to be delivered in home, institutional, and community settings. Dorenfest was invited by Intel to focus our efforts on ICT to support the home and institutional-delivered aging services where demand is created by or spending is initiated by governmental or enterprise activities. We became familiar with Intel’s business strategy in this area and made an opportunity assessment for Intel.

IMS-2012

IMS Health is an American company that provides information, services and technology for the healthcare industry. It is the largest vendor of U.S. physician prescribing data. Dorenfest assisted IMS with China Health IT market entry strategy in 2011 and IMS decided to do it through strategic investment and acquisition. In 2012, Dorenfest assisted in due diligence of the target company’s products through product and technology evaluation, high-level product comparison with 5 major HIT vendors, and client field review on product and service.

Aetna Group-2012

Aetna is a very large insurance company with a number of new ventures in allied areas.  The company was exploring emerging opportunities and markets. Dorenfest was invited to do a study to support a China and Hong Kong business entry and have a high-level summary of the results. By looking at the fit of Aetna’s main business and products to the China and Hong Kong market, Dorenfest offered the strategic options for Aetna to enter the HIT market in China and Hong Kong.

The consulting project laid the foundation and the roadmap of development for the RHIN and digital hospital effort driven by the health bureau.

Philips-2011

PACS China wish to expand on its business line to venture into more software business. Hence they invited Dorenfest to perform a market study on the PACS and EMR market in China and discuss the feasibility of Philips entering these market segment.

Microsoft-2008

In order to better strategized its China Entry strategy and the product fit strategy for Microsoft’s latest acquired product in China, Microsoft China invited Dorenfest to perform a market analysis and product fit analysis for its UIS and HIS product line. The study helped Microsoft to understand its approach better and its potential clients better.
